Féile Peil na nÓg Cill Dara 2009 - Events to Date

Féile Art competition, in association with WhiteWater Shopping Centre, Newbridge:

Congratulations to Sarah Curran, Maynooth Post Primary School who is the overall winner of our Art Competition.  Sarah has the honour of having her creation displayed on the cover of Féile Chill Dara’s commemorative programme.  This programme will be distributed to all the players and supporters during Féile Peil na nÓg Cill Dara, 3^rd July – 5^th July 2009.

Coiste Féile Chill Dara would like to gratefully acknowledge the tremendous support from WhiteWater Shopping Centre for this project and the generous sponsorship of the following for all the prizes in each category:

Meteor sponsored 1^st places and all winners received a Meteor mobile phone;

Liston Leisure Sportswear sponsored 2^nd places and winners received a Féile Jacket and football signed by Kerry footballer;

Kildare GAA County Board sponsored 3^rd places and winners received a Kildare jersey.

As there was such a high entry in the 9-10 and 11-12 age groups it was decided to give a 4^th prize, a pen-set, sponsored by Coca-Cola, main sponsor of Féile Peil na nÓg.

13-14 years:

3^rd:  Afaf Obed,St Wolstan's Community School.

11-12 years:

1^st:   Audrey Flynn, Broadford NS;

2^nd:  Laurence Bathe, Scoil Bhríde Kilcullen;

3^rd:  Emer O’Rourke, Allenwood Girls NS;

4^th:  Caoimhe Dolan, Ticknevin NS.

9-10 years:

1^st:    Niamh Ní Bhergín, Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh;

2^nd:  Robert Browne, Scoil Diarmada Castledermot;

3^rd:  Georgia McHolmes, The Mercy Convent Naas;

4^th:  Johanna Fogarty-Flood, Broadford NS.

We would like to congratulate all the boys and girls who sent in entries and thank their teachers for their co-operation and interest in the Féile Chill Dara art competition.  We hope everyone avails of the opportunity to view the exhibition in WhiteWater Shopping Centre.  The exhibition will continue for the next few weeks.

Many thanks to all who supported our Celebrity Table Quiz in The Westgrove Hotel, Clane.  Without your help it wouldn't have been the successful night it was.
